The-Kutta is a producer, singer, songwriter,Videographer and Photographer with a unique sound and style all his own. With no formal music training or coaching, only drive and determination, the talent demonstrated by this self-made musical mastermind was truly God given.
Keyon (The Kutta) Brannam discovered the art of storytelling at an early age which would later manifest into a series of short rhymes and rap battles by age 16. At the age of 23 he found himself left alone in a room with beat machine and began practicing on the keyboard. Early stages of a pre-studio setting sparked his interest in producing and commenced his love for the Keys. On a late night in 2003, a party took place in a Macon recording studio leaving all the artists too drunk to record. Young Muddy took advantage of the opportunity before him and recorded his first hit single.
Years would pass under multiple aliases (Kutta-Key being the most prominent) before Keyon would decide on a stage name with a deeper meaning. Simply put The-Kutta music is a Toxic Blend of comedy,tragedy,conciousness,Set in a southern atmosphere with unpredictable Rap patterns and Over the top subject matter.Backed by Heavy Hipnotic Beats. Key$ signifies his passion for music with a meaning on every level – from producing beats, to writing rhymes to playing instruments.
